When I said to myself "It's never too late" people told me that it was late, my reply was "Late is better than never" that was when I took my decision to become a flautist even though I was turning 20 years old, and I took my first flute lesson on March 17th 2005.
During these six years I have become able to play western classical music from different eras and this was my first goal as a performer as I have passion in classical music, on the other hand I also play Middle Eastern classical music, western and Arabic pop music. In the mean time I'm going to give it a shot and try playing jazz. I have just started to learn how to play baroque flute and I found that it's a complete different instrument from the modern one but I love baroque music and I'll keep working on it.
Since 2005 and till now I have achieved many goals and gained a lot of experience, in January 2009 I got my BA in music performance and now I'm a MA student in music performance as well , also in 2009 I got ABRSM grade 8 flute with distinction degree.
I'm a member in the Jordanian youth orchestra which was established in 2009, and also a member in the women alliance of music where we have participated in many concerts under the charity work of UNESCO.
A member in Talaqi band which is a group of friends who play different Western and Middle Eastern instruments and who decided to form this band in order to combine western and Middle Eastern music and participated in many festivals in Jordan and abroad.
And also a member in Shu Hal Ayyam band Shoo Hal Ayyam..? "What are these Days…?" a sarcastic portray of what is going on at present, talking about social and economical injustice and the important issues affecting the lives of older and younger alike. The group presents “alternative music through selected songs and instrumental pieces of both famous and unknown musicians who had left their stamp in Arabic heritage and oriental music in general. In addition to other selected songs from the world heritage. The group always works on presenting these songs with a new musical arrangement benefiting from, different members backgrounds and instruments.
I participated in many different events as a soloist as well and performed in many individual concerts with the Jordanian pianist Elias Durzi. I'm glad that I can play different genres of music and I still have much more to achieve
